Athan Frame Stuck on Loading Screen

In the event, the Athan Frame fails to connect to the internet and you get a loading screen for an extended period (1-2 minutes), ensure the password entered for the Wi-Fi is correct. If the password is correct then more than likely the Athan Frame is having trouble connecting to your internet.

It is possible your wifi router is blocking the internet connection to the Athan Frame. Log into your network and unblock/unpause the Athan Frame. You can check this on your internet provider’s account or app (or by calling them) and unblock or un-pause the connection and see if the Athan Frame connects.

I am getting an error stating aFrame is not responding?

Your Athan Frame is designed to be automatically updated with new features and bug fixes. In some cases, these updates require a restart. Please restart device following below steps (exactly in this way):

1) Unplug the power adapter
2) Turn the silver switch (on the back) to OFF
3) Leave the device off for atleast 30 seconds
4) Plug in the per adapter to the outlet
5) Turn the silver switch to on
6) Athan Frame should start displaying in couple of minutes

How do I set the correct time (clock time) on the Athan Frame?

If you chose SYNC WITH MASJID option, your time will be setup however your local masjid is setup. If the current time is incorrect or the prayer timings are incorrect, please send us an email at support@masjidal.com with the masjid name and we’ll try to get it corrected. For the time being, please setup your Athan Frame as Stand Alone.

Stand Alone

If you choose STANDALONE, make sure you have selected the correct Time zone in the TIMEZONE field. For example, for EST time zone, you should select America/New_York and for CST, your selection should be America/Chicago. The TIMEZONE field is on the Stand Alone options screen (from the prayer timing screen, click the + icon on the bottom left, then the settings icon and then Start Over).

I can't find my local Masjid on the Athan Frame?

Masjids have to be signed up with Masjidal to show up in list. If you can’t find your masjid, please ask your local masjid Admin to sign up at www.masjidal.com, its a no cost service to the Masjid. Or you can send us your local masjid website address. If the masjid has published their monthly prayer timetable on their site. We will setup your masjid for you.

How do I connect a Bluetooth speaker to my Athan Frame?

To connect Bluetooth speaker, please follow these steps:

1) Slide your finger from top middle of Athan frame to open settings window
2) Slide the finger till window is completely open.
3) Click on Bluetooth and slide Bluetooth the button to ON
4) Turn ON your Bluetooth speaker so that Athan Frame can discover
5) Click on the Bluetooth speaker in Athan Frame settings to connect

How do I load custom Athan on the Athan Frame?

Please follow the steps below to load custom Athan:

1) Download your choice of Athan in mp3 format and save it on a USB Drive
2) Attach USB drive to Athan Frame in bottom back side of the frame
3) Click on the + sign on Athan Frame main screen than click Settings Icon
4) Choose Custom in the Athan drop down list. A window will open.
5) Choose File Manager
6) Choose USB Folder, its the third tab on the top of the screen
7) Choose the Athan Frame you had downloaded
8) Click on back button on the top
9) Click anywhere outside window for the window to close
10) Save settings, remove the USB and you are done
