Push Notifications on the ATHAN+ Phone App 

Push notifications are messages that pop up on a user’s mobile phone. These little banners slide into view — whether or not the app is open. 

Any user that has your Masjid set as their favorite Masjid will receive the notification (user’s can also opt out of it in the settings).

Push notification is a Premium feature (learn more). Even for Masjid’s that are signed for Athan+ Professional, it needs to be activated. Please send an email to salman@masjidal.com to have this feature enabled for your Masjid.

Sending Push Notifications

Login to your Masjidal account. If you haven’t signed up for your Masjid, please sign up, its free. After logging in, click on the Settings link on the left navigation bar and then then select Athan+. 

Click on the Push Notifications tab and click Create.

Title – Give it a meaningful title. Something short and to the point. The title will show up when the user taps the push notification.

Message – Provide more detail on this field. Best practice is to keep it clear and easy to understand.

Enter the following details and click Send.

Notifications cannot be changed or deleted. User’s will see what you are sending so please double check and triple check the message before sending it.

Notifications cannot be sent between 10pm to 8am Masjid’s time. This is so that the user’s are not disturbed at odd hours.

Notifications are limited to 3 within a 7 day period.

The notification will be displayed on the user’s phone within an hour:
